National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency

National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) is a government agency under the Ministry of Health Malaysia that regulates pharmaceutical products including traditional medicines, health supplements as well as cosmetic products marketed in Malaysia.

NPRA ensures the quality, efficacy and safety of the regulated products through evaluation of scientific data, inspections of manufacturing premises to ensure compliance to Good Manufacturing Practice, licensing (manufacturers, importers and wholesalers) as well as laboratory testing.
