Dr Eugene Wong is an ENT registrar based at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, Australia. He has specific interest in rhinology and skull base surgery. He also has a strong research interest, completing two Masters degrees and has published more than 50 peer reviewed manuscripts. Dr Wong has recently developed a particular interest in how new technologies such as AI can help make ENT surgery safer and more efficacious, and today will present Westmead’s work on developing an automated algorithm to identify pitfalls and dangers in endoscopic sinus surgery based on CT sinus scans.
